Originally designed for New York area residents with extensive wardrobes and limited closet space, Garde Robe’s core service is first-class, climate-controlled storage and maintenance for your off-season and/or infrequently worn clothing, shoes, evening wear, furs and accessories. Garde Robe’s seasonal service allows you to switch your closet from Fall/Winter to Spring/Summer garments without lifting a finger. Garde Robe® representatives will come to your home to pack and collect the off-season items that you are not wearing regularly. Unlike standard storage companies, Garde Robe® provides 24/7 visual access to every item in our care as well as same-day delivery and pick up service, so your wardrobe is always easily accessible and you never have to go out of your way to retrieve the clothes. At the start of each new season, Garde Robe® will deliver your desired garments in ready-to-wear-condition and perform a “seasonal wardrobe switch.” No matter where you live, Garde Robe® is the ideal way to free up much-needed closet space and keep your wardrobe looking its best year-round.

Garde Robe® also provides “museum-quality” preservation of one-of-a-kind and/or delicate garments such as vintage and couture pieces. Garde Robe® is THE choice for preserving irreplaceable garments worn only on special occasions or being “saved” for family members to wear in the future. Here is a step-by-step breakdown of Garde Robe's storage/delivery services:

  • - At your convenience, Garde Robe® will pick up the clothing, shoes, evening wear, furs and accessories you would like to keep in our care 


  • - Your wardrobe will be kept in ideal storage conditions at Garde Robe’s climate-controlled loft 


  • - Each wardrobe item is professionally photographed and cataloged onto a secure, customized Cyber Closet wardrobe catalog on the Internet 


  • - Garde Robe’s garment care experts will inspect each item carefully and notify you if cleaning or repair is needed; Garde Robe® will arrange for professional cleaning and repairs for all items in our care at cost 


  • - Each item is properly stored using only the finest preservation materials 


  • - Your can view your Cyber Closet catalog online 24/7 and select individual garments or your entire wardrobe for delivery 


  • - Pick ups and deliveries are included in the monthly storage fee 


  • - Garde Robe® will pack and ship your belongingsanywhere in the world.

Garde Robe's Fee Schedule is a follows:

Garde Robe's standard rate is $350 per month, plus tax, and includes:

• One “clothing rack,” capable of holding up to 50 garments

- Additional items beyond the initial 50 are billed $7 per item, per month.   Long hanging gowns/items are billed as two items.
• With each “rack”, Garde Robe® will provide on a complimentary basis one large breathable box which may be used for accessories and ten shoe boxes
- Accessories in excess of complimentary allotment will be billed according   to space @ $28 per box, per month.
- Boots are billed as two pairs of shoes.

* If necessary, Garde Robe® will arrange for professional cleaning and/or repairs. Please note all garments must be clean in order to be maintained properly. Cleaning charges are additional. Garde Robe® does not mark up the costs for cleaning or repairs.

SHOES ONLY:

• 30 pairs of shoes is $225.00 per month, plus tax 
* Anything OVER 30 pairs of shoes will be an extra $7.50 per pair of shoes, per month

GARMENT STATUS: ACTIVE VS INACTIVE

Active:

• Active items constitute all of the garments in your monthly storage count (what you are billed for).
• Garments remain “Active” even if they are delivered to the client
• Garde Robe® reserves space for all active items

Inactive:

• Client MUST specify that an item be made inactive, either through the website request process, or via telephone.
• Inactive items must remain with client for at least 3 months.
• Any Inactive item that is returned to storage prior to the 3 months will be billed retroactively at $7 per month.

ADDING & SUBTRACTING GARMENTS

• Customer may add new items to storage at any point in time.
• Customer is entitled to 2 complimentary seasonal wardrobe switches per year. Delivery of 20 or more pieces is considered a seasonal wardrobe switch.
• Excluding seasonal switches, if new items are added as a substitute for items that were made “Inactive,” the new items will incur a $15 processing fee.
• If the new items are in addition to the original storage count (nothing was made “Inactive,”) there will be no processing fee.

DELIVERY POLICIES

• Pick-ups and deliveries are available during regular business hours: Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm ET. Weekend appointments need to be scheduled at least 5 days in advance.
• The Company offers same-day delivery of up to 10 stored items within the Borough of Manhattan on requests received prior to 5 p.m. ET, Monday-Friday, excluding holidays.
• Requests received after 5 p.m. ET will be delivered or shipped the following day. 
• The Company requests 5 business days notice on deliveries of 20 pieces or more. 
• Customer is entitled to one complimentary delivery per month; subsequent deliveries within the same month will incur a flat fee of $45 in addition to a $2 fee per piece.
• Rush delivery of up to 3 Requested Items will be available during normal business hours to locations in the Borough of Manhattan within ninety (90) minutes upon special request for a $45 fee.
• There are no fees for garment pick up.
• Pick-ups and deliveries are available during regular business hours: Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm PST. Weekend appointments need to be scheduled at least 5 days in advance.
• The Company offers three-day delivery of up to 20 stored items within Las Vegas metro area on requests received prior to 5 p.m. PST, Monday-Friday, excluding holidays.
• Requests received after 5 p.m. PST will be delivered within four business days or shipped the following day.
• The Company requests 5 business days notice on deliveries of 50 pieces or more.
• Customer is entitled to one complimentary delivery per month; subsequent deliveries within the same month will incur a flat fee of $45 in addition to a $2 fee per piece.
• Rush delivery of up to 3 Requested Items will be available during normal business hours to locations in Las Vegas within 24 hours upon special request for a $120 fee.
• There are no fees for garment pick up.
• Pick-ups and deliveries are available during regular business hours: Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm PST. Weekend appointments need to be scheduled at least 5 days in advance.
• The Company offers next-day delivery of up to 10 stored items within Los Angeles on requests received prior to 1 p.m. PST, Monday-Friday, excluding holidays.
• Requests received after 1 p.m. PST will be delivered within two business days or shipped the following day.
• The Company requests 5 business days notice on deliveries of 20 pieces or more.
• Customer is entitled to one complimentary delivery per month; subsequent deliveries within the same month will incur a flat fee of $45 in addition to a $2 fee per piece.
• Rush delivery of up to 3 Requested Items will be available during normal business hours to locations in Los Angeles within 24 hours upon special request for a $75 fee.
• There are no fees for garment pick up.
• Pick-ups and deliveries are available during regular business hours: Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm PST. Weekend appointments need to be scheduled at least 5 days in advance.
• The Company offers next-day delivery of up to 10 stored items within Orange County on requests received prior to 5 p.m. PST, Monday-Friday, excluding holidays.
• Requests received after 5 p.m. PST will be delivered within two business days or shipped the following day.
• The Company requests 5 business days notice on deliveries of 20 pieces or more.
• Customer is entitled to one complimentary delivery per month; subsequent deliveries within the same month will incur a flat fee of $45 in addition to a $2 fee per piece.
• Rush delivery of up to 3 Requested Items will be available during normal business hours to locations in Orange County within 24 hours upon special request for a $75 fee.
• There are no fees for garment pick up.
• Pick-ups and deliveries are available during regular business hours: Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm PST. Weekend appointments need to be scheduled at least 5 days in advance.
• The Company offers same-day delivery of up to 10 stored items within San Diego County on requests received prior to 5 p.m. PST, Monday-Friday, excluding holidays.
• Requests received after 5 p.m. PST will be delivered or shipped the following day.
• The Company requests 5 business days notice on deliveries of 20 pieces or more.
• Customer is entitled to one complimentary delivery per month; subsequent deliveries within the same month will incur a flat fee of $45 in addition to a $2 fee per piece.
• Rush delivery of up to 3 Requested Items will be available during normal business hours to locations in San Diego County within ninety (90) minutes upon special request for a $45 fee.
• There are no fees for garment pick up.
• Items kept in Garde Robe’s care are accessible worldwide via Garde Robe’s packing and shipping services.  For deliveries outside of Garde Robe’s delivery radius, we will pack and ship items at cost. We strive to make this process as seamless as possible and handle all of the logistics on your behalf.  For international shipments, please keep in mind Customs regulations differ from nation to nation, so shipments could be slightly delayed.  Please provide ample notice so Garde Robe® can complete your Customs declaration forms and facilitate delivery to your destination.  In order to prepare an international wardrobe shipment, Garde Robe® requires a copy of your passport, your flight itinerary and declared values for the contents being shipped.  Please inquire for additional details.

1. How many items can I store with Garde Robe®?

There is no limit. You may store up to 50 items of clothing per “rack.” As a bonus, each rack includes 10 custom shoe boxes as well as one breathable box for accessories including handbags, shawls, wraps, belts, etc. If you require more than one rack or have special needs, we will customize our service to meet your needs.

2. How long does it take to receive items I need?

Garde Robe® offers same- or next-day delivery of up to 10 garments in most areas.  Garde Robe® strives to accommodate your schedule for all deliveries and pick ups.  If you require a rush or after-hours delivery, surcharges may apply.  After-hours and weekend deliveries must be scheduled in advance.  Garde Robe® is closed and cannot guarantee deliveries on major public holidays.  There are no fees for pick-ups or deliveries in most cases.

3. What is the length of the storage commitment?

Due to the labor-intensive process of cataloging, photographing and inspecting each garment, we kindly request a one-year minimum commitment. Should you wish to discontinue the service after one year, you may cancel at any time with 30 days notice. If a shorter term is desired, please inquire about short-term contract options.

4. What if I don't live in your area, can I still use Garde Robe®?

Yes, of course. Garde Robe® works with fashion devotees worldwide. No matter where you live, Garde Robe® is the ideal way to keep your precious wardrobe looking its best year-round.

5. Are my clothes cleaned before they are stored?

Yes, as it’s deemed necessary. In order to preserve the condition of your precious wardrobe, Garde Robe® will arrange for professional cleaning, if needed, before garments are stored for an extended period of time. Garde Robe® is affiliated with the nation’s most reputable garment care providers. If you have a particular cleaner you would prefer we use for specific items, we would be happy to accommodate that request.

6. Are my stored items insured?

Yes, all garments in Garde Robe’s care are insured, and our lofts feature state-of-the-art security. Please contact Garde Robe® for additional details.

7. What about fur storage and delivery?

Garde Robe® offers luxury fur storage at a reasonable cost. Because furs require special cold-storage units, we require 48 hours notice in order to retrieve the furs and deliver them.
